In 1994 I was playing pool in Boston when I met a cigar girl. I never say no to a nice cigar, so we got to talking. After an hour or so she told me that she was looking for a full-time job and I happened to have a position in my company for bookkeeping that she went on to fill, her name was Gina.

I decided to come up with two special cigar blends, with Gina as my company spokesperson, so I flew to the Dominican Republic with Gina to meet señor Emilio Reyes, owner of a plantation together. I collaborated on the development of a cigar to place in custom humidors. Over the years I’ve tweaked from Dominican to Nicaragua but finally settled on two signature cigars from the Dominican Republic. My signature Connecticut-Dominican blend, featuring a gorgeous Connecticut wrapper, sweet honey-flavored with smooth and creamy character. And the Maduro-Dominican blend, medium flavored full-bodied, well-constructed long filler with chocolate notes and hints of spice.

At this time, I was running my printing company producing t-shirts for some of the biggest names including Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots, Disney and Reebok etc. Simultaneously, I was working on a side project building a unique humidor, replacing the old dried out cigar boxes behind bars. Local bars and nightclubs were enthused with my unique humidor. Managers would place it in the prime location, the middle of the bar, overshadowing top shelf liquors. It became a cornerstone of my success and gained notoriety around town—people were really talking! They soon banned smoking in bars, so I had to come up with a new grand plan…

I considered myself an avid golfer, and one morning, while teeing off, an idea came over me—I was going to place my humidors all over New England Golf Pro shops. Golfers really enjoyed the cigars, but they weren’t available in stores, so they were calling to purchase them. The owners from Golf and Gamble company quickly got word, and wanted to place my humidors on their executive bus program, driving golfers from Boston to Connecticut to play golf followed by gambling in Foxwoods Casino. It was a match made in heaven!

My first charity golf event was a huge success. Right then, I knew I found my company’s purpose: my cigar girl would clip and light our special blend at corporate and charity golf outings—this would be perfect way for organizers to enhance their event. I immediately went home that night to change my cigar logo, adding two golf clubs.

Over 25 years perfecting my Cigars especially created for golfers, my vision was to help and enhance charity and corporate golf outings. My program included a professional table display with a cigar girl who will give a clip and light presentation, and with a table on a par 3, custom signage highlighting your charity or corporation of choice. Each golfer gets a complementary cigar from your organization.
